Charlotte Ann (Simpson) Kirkman

CHARLOTTE ANN KIRKMAN
February 18, 1939 – December 27, 2017

Charlotte Ann Simpson Kirkman, loving wife and mother, born on February 18, 1939, went to be with the Lord on December 27, 2017.

Born in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Delmar and Myrtle Spruill Simpson.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas “Tink” Kirkman of Jamesville NC; her sons, Greg Phelps of Jamesville NC, Tommy Kirkman of Greenville NC and Nolan Kirkman and wife, Emily of Burlington NC; her daughter, Ramona Kirkman Armstrong and husband, Wesley of Columbia NC; her grandchildren, Bobby and Mark Armstrong of Wilmington NC, MaryAnn Armstrong Hassell and husband, Christopher of Columbia NC, Gabby and Sierra Kirkman of Greenville NC, Shae, Hailey and Brooke Kirkman of Burlington NC; her sister, Dot Simpson Barnes and husband, Nick of Plymouth NC; many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary DeNean Kirkman; brothers, Teddy, Mac and Bobby Simpson; sisters, Lucy Estep and Carlette Carter.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Bryan Funeral Service at Historic Hampton Academy, Plymouth.  Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens.  Raffael Farrow, Jr. will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The Multiple Sclerosis Society, 105 East 1st Street, Greenville NC 27858  in memory of Mary DeNean Kirkman or the The Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas TX 75231 in memory of Charlotte Ann Kirkman.

The family will receive friends on Friday between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the funeral home, 108 West Main Street, Plymouth and other times at the home.
