May 23, 1983 – February 11, 2018

Gary Fenton Johnson, Jr., 34, of Greenville, NC passed, Sunday February 11, 2018 peacefully at the Hospice House in Greenville, after suffering from a severe car wreck nine years ago.

He is survived by his mother, Carma Davis of the home, and her special friend, Don Sadler; his father, Gary Johnson, Sr., and fiancé, Pam Kellum of Sneads Ferry, his stepdad, Mike Davis of Belhaven; his grandmother, Maenna Johnson, his uncle, Danny Johnson and his cousin Willard all of Williamston.

In addition to his family surviving is his extra special caregiver, Kathy Thompson, without her, he would have not been able to stay at home and enjoy his home life. She has been part of our family for nearly nine years.

A special thanks go out to the following people, Allen Thompson, Donna Spencer, Donna Watson, Lisa Cooke and to all the staff at Cross Creek that meant the world to us, and his wonderful compassionate doctor, Dr. lacy Hobgood and Brandy his nurse.

The family would like to express their appreciation of all the thoughts, prayers and comments throughout all these years of this difficult journey.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Engelhard Christian Church. Steve Bryan will officiate.

The family will gather with friends at the Engelhard Christian Church Fellowship Hall during the hour prior to the service.
