GLADYS T. FAULK
April 29, 1927 – August 31, 2018
Gladys Thompson Faulk, 91, a resident of 950 U. S. Highway 64-East, Columbia, died on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Elizabeth City Health Care and Rehabilitation where she had been a recent patient.
Born in Bland County, Virginia, April 29, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Charles Monroe and Mary Texas Respass Thompson. She was the widow of William Faulk, Sr. She retired from Coats and Clark Manufacturing after 27 years of service as a thread and zipper manufacturer and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Newport News, VA.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 8, 2018 at First United Methodist Church, 10246 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA. Rev. Elizabeth Lutz, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Surviving are a step-son, William “Bill” Faulk, Jr. and wife Linda of Bracey VA; a step-daughter, Judy Bartran and husband, Jim of Bracey, VA; four grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon B. Vick and all of her siblings.
