October 2, 1959 – April 16, 2018

Richard Lee Davenport, of E Mill Pond Rd, Roper passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018 at the age of 58.

Richard (Rick) Davenport was the son of Henry Davenport Jr. and Thelma Davenport of Folly Road, Roper NC.

He was a welder at Pungo Machine Shop in Belhaven, NC. He is survived by his mother, Thelma Davenport; sister, Sue and husband Morris Luton; wife, Bonnie Cooper; their children, Joshua Davenport and wife Latoya, Daniel Davenport and fiancée Rachel Harris, Marshall Davenport and wife Victoria, Shannon Abbot and wife Sherri, Douglas Ray Abbot and wife Lara, Charlie Cooper and wife Melissa, Ernest Cooper, and grandchildren Malasia McDougald, Lyndell Painter, Joshua F. Davenport, Devin Wynn, Safyre Davenport, Chevelle Davenport, Shannon V. Abbot, Toby Austin, Karsin Withrow, Charlie Cooper II, and Christine Cooper.

He was preceded in death by his father, the late Henry Davenport Jr.; and brother, the late James Christopher Davenport.

Rick will be remembered as a loving husband and father, selfless, a help to all who need, an outdoorsman, quick with a smile and a story for any occasion. He will be loved and live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

There will be a visitation held at Bryan Funeral Service at 108 W Main St, Plymouth, NC on Friday, April 27 from 6 p.m. to- 8pm.

Arrangements are by Bryan Funeral Service at Hampton Academy, Plymouth.
