Carolyn Lucille Starner Suter

Carolyn Lucille Starner Suter, 76, of 1404 Hwy 94 ‐North, Columbia, died Friday, July 8, 2016, at Chowan River Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Edenton, NC.

Born in Sycamore, Ohio, December 22, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Frank David and Mildred L. Moran Starner. She was a member of the Gum Neck Church of Christ where she participated in the Ladies Circle and was a member of the Tyrrell E.C.A. She was well known for her pies, cross‐stitching, gardening, mowing her lawn, and loving her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Monday, July 11, 2016 at Bryan Funeral Service‐ Columbia Chapel. Jon Langley and Luke Swain will officiate. Burial will follow in the family plot at Philippi Church of Christ Cemetery, Creswell, NC.

Surviving are two sons: Timothy Suter and wife, Kim, of Columbia, NC; Jeffrey T. Suter and wife, Debbie, of Columbia, NC.; two daughters, Deborah S. Olson and husband, Eric, of Columbia, NC; Susan S. Swain and husband, Buddy, of Columbia, NC; one brother, Frankie Starner of Bucyrus, Ohio; seventeen grand‐ children: Lindsay Severa and husband, Jeff, of Edenton, NC, Justin Suter and Kaitlyn Suter, Sarah Exum and husband, Russ, Joshua Spear and wife, Lupe, all of Columbia, Jacob Spear and wife, Morgan, of Creswell, David Olson of Columbia, Caroline Presley of Raleigh, Nathaniel Presley, Catherine Suter, Elizabeth Suter, Matthew Swain and wife, Rebekah all of Columbia, Luke Swain and wife, Tiffanie of Creswell, Hannah Railey and husband, Chris, of Jacksonville, NC, Grace Swain, JonMark Swain and Lydia Jo Swain all of Columbia; nine Great‐Grandchildren: Alex, Justin, Holden and Chandler Severa of Edenton, NC, David and Naomi Spear, Harper and Vivienne Exum, and Liam Swain all of Columbia.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6pm to 8pm at Bryan Funeral Service‐Columbia Chapel and other times at the family home.
