Lester Andrew Combs, 74, of Fairfield, died Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Cross Creek Health Care Center, Swan Quarter.
Born in Beaufort County, July 30, 1942, he was the son of the late Manning Maxwell Carawan and Sarah Teresa Barnett.
He served his country with the United States Army and later retired from the United States Coast Guard Corp of Engineers.
No services are scheduled at this time.
Surviving is a brother, Earl L. Carawan of Fairfield.
He was preceded in death by a twin brother, Chester Randolph Combs.
Arrangements are by Bryan Funeral Service, Swan Quarter.
