Albert W. Cuthrell
July 20, 1962 – September 18, 2021

Albert Woodrow Cuthrell, 59, of the Ponzer community, died unexpectedly, Saturday, September 18, 2021, at his residence.

Albert was born in Tyrrell County on July 20, 1962, to the late Woodrow and Ida Cahoon Cuthrell. He was married to Paula Mason Cuthrell who survives.

He was a member of Mt. Olive Church of Christ where had served as a church deacon. He was a former member of the Ponzer Ruritan Club. He loved to collect ink pens, watching sports and was known for his kind and friendly personality.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 24, 2021, at the family plot at Mt. Olive Church of Christ Church Cemetery. Pastor Mike Caton will officiate.

In addition to his wife, surviving is a daughter, Jamie M. Dwyer (Scotty) of Bath; a grandson, Logan Dwyer; a brother, James Cuthrell (Bonita) of Creswell; four sisters, Ann C. Lewis (Hubert) of Engelhard, Jackie Sawyer (Jessie) of Gum Neck, Marie Sawyer (Bill) of Kilkenny and Zoradia Cuthrell of Scranton; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Louise McConville.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at the home place.
