Ann E. Spencer
July 7, 1962 – September 10, 2026

Ann Elizabeth Spencer, 64, of Fairfield, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at ECU Health Beaufort Hospital.

Ann was the daughter of the late Flavius Fletcher Spencer, Jr., and Sarah Spencer Meekins. She worked as a commercial fisherman, farmer, smoke chaser, and Equipment operator for the NC Forest Service.

Ann was a lover of the outdoors. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, caring for her animals, and was especially known for her 4-H goats, which she loved raising for the local children. Ann was most at home when she was surrounded by her friends and family.

Per her request, no services will be held.

Ann is survived by her brother, Flave Spencer (Pat) of Fairfield; her sister, Martha S. Ross (Lester) of Swan Quarter; two nieces, Callie S. Carawan (Cory) of Swan Quarter and Megan Spencer (Cooper) of Greenville; two great-nieces, Charlee Carawan and Sloan Greer; and one great-nephew, Carter Carawan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hyde County 4-H Club or the Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department
