Avner W. Jones
July 21, 1949 – February 14, 2018

Avner Warren Jones, "Whatcha Know Good", 68, of the Gull Rock Community, Engelhard, died, Wednesday, February 14, 2018.

Born in Beaufort County he was the son of the late, Bill Jones, Sr and Lucille Sadler Jones. Avner worked in the Seafood industry for over forty years. His unique character made him one of a kind. Engelhard and Far Creek will not be the same without Avner's big heart. He liked to play jokes on people and was an avid deer hunter.

Surviving is a son, Adam Travis Jones and wife, Regina of Engelhard; a daughter, Ginger J. Byrd and husband, George of Gull Rock, one grandson, Brian Byrd; a brother, Charlie Jones and wife, Carolyn, of Fairfield; two sisters; Sue Harper and husband, Bobby of Bath and Cathy Ireland and husband, Robbie of Engelhard.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Myron E. Jones, Jr.
