Bobby Dean Swindell, 81, of Richlands passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at his home.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Jones Funeral Home, Richlands at 6:00 pm. Reverend Volney Bryan will be officiating. Burial will be at the Fairfield Cemetery, in Fairfield, NC, on Saturday, December 31, 2016, at 11:00 AM with Masonic Rights.

Mr. Swindell was born in Little Washington, NC and was the son of the late Murrel "CM" and Rosa L. Cuthrell Swindell. He worked as a Loan Supervisor. Bobby was drafted and served his country honorably with the United States Army.

Mr. Swindell is survived by his wife of 39 years, Donna Mills Swindell of the home; one daughter, Stacie S. Horne and husband Jody of Richlands, NC; one brother, Clifford Swindell and wife Judy of Fairfield, NC; extended family, Mac and Cyndi Tucker of Richlands, NC; grandchildren, Jayden and Noah Horne and Bobby and Mark Tucker; mother-in-law Hilma Mills and his four-legged friend Pippa.

The family will receive friends following the service on Tuesday evening at the funeral home and other times at the home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607
