Brian Dean Loftus, 60, of Engelhard, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at ECU Roanoke Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie.

Brian was born in Newport, Rhode Island, on June 30, 1966, to the late Thomas W. Sr. and Elaine Elizabeth Jones Loftus.

Brian worked in the automotive industry with Gizmo Body Shop, specializing in classic car customization.

Per his request, a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Surviving are three grandchildren, Max Loftus, Henry Loftus, Levi Loftus; a brother, Thomas "Tommy" William Loftus, Jr. (Floy) of Engelhard; two sisters, Patricia "Trisha" L. Judd (Steven) of Elizabeth City and Kimberly "Kim" L. Gibbs (Paul Harvey) of Engelhard; and a daughter-in-law, Danielle Kanney (David)

He was preceded in death by a brother, Patrick Loftus.
