Connie Louise Batey

Connie Louise Batey, 52, of Middlesex died, June 9, 2017, at Johnston Health Care, Smithfield.

Born in Washington County, January 11, 1965 she was the daughter of Louise Haire Marshburn of Jacksonville, who survives. She was married to Frank Minor Batey, Jr. who also survives.

Connie loved to travel in the mountains, but mostly she enjoyed being at home taking care of her cats, dogs and spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be he at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Plymouth Church of Christ. Bob Moulden will officiate. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens.

In addition to her mother and husband, surviving is a brother, Thad Spiewak, Jr. and wife Brandi of Ayden; two nephews, Austin Spiewak and Chase Spiewak; a sister, Dawn Santhuff and husband Eric of Stafford, VA and one niece, Ivy Baugher.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bryan Funeral Service at Hampton Academy in Plymouth.
