DON LEE BRICKHOUSE
July 1, 1949 – June 26, 2017

Don Lee Brickhouse, 67, of 511 Reed Street, Cary, died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, June 26, 2017.

Born in Columbia, Tyrrell County on July 1, 1949, he was the son of the late Ellis Moody and Naomi Liverman Brickhouse. He spent his working years as a painter and found enjoyment in fishing and crabbing. He was an avid reader.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Soundside Free Will Baptist Church. Rev. Royce Reynolds will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving are a daughter, Donna B. Gonzalez and husband, Benjamin of Grimesland; a brother, Dallas Moody Brickhouse and wife, Jenny of Norfolk VA; two sisters, Barbara Ann Margolis of Orlando, FL and Bonnie Mae Austin and husband, Robert of Angier NC; two grandchildren, Abigail Gonzalez and Gerrit Gonzalez.

He was preceded in death by a brother Gerald "Buddy Boy" Brickhouse and a sister, Doris Ann Brickhouse Conner.

The family will visit with friends at the church after the service on Sunday.

Arrangements are being handled by Bryan Funeral Service, Columbia.
