DOROTHY O. O'NEAL
July 5, 1940 – December 26, 2017

Dorothy Owens O'Neal, 77, of Swan Quarter died Tuesday, December 26, 2017, at Cross Creek Health Care where she had resided for several years.

Born in Wicomico County, Maryland on July 5, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Edward and Mildred Bounds Owens.  She was married to Larry O'Neal who preceded her in death.  She was a member of Swan Quarter Christian Church.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday in Swan Quarter Christian Church.  Steve Bryan will officiate.  Private burial will follow in in the family plot in Fairfield Cemetery.

Surviving are a son, Carlos Ed O'Neal and his partner, Jeff Haasz of Raleigh; a daughter, Judy B. West of Fruitland, MD;  a brother, Bruce Owens of  Brandon, FL; two grandsons, Kyle West and Johnny West; one great-grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Joe O'Neal; a sister, Rose Lee; brothers, Freddie and Bobby.

The family will receive friends immediately following the funeral service in the fellowship hall of the church.
