Dr. Garland Richard Homes died Tuesday, August 23, 2016. He is survived by his former spouse, Isabelle Daniel; and daughters, Sarah Homes and Isabelle Homes Gesher (and husband, Nolan); and sons, Garland Homes, Jr. (and wife, Sandra), Ras Homes (and partner Kimberly Schaefer) and Richard Homes; and eleven grandchildren; Courtney, Garland III, John, Ras, Ben, Cameron, Belle, Lee, Sydney, Gibbs and Smith. Garland loved his children and grandchildren, his Tarheels and of course, Davis Love III. A private family service will be held Thursday, August 25 at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, Wilson.
