Edward E. O'Neal
November 7, 1922 – October 14, 2017

Edward Emory O'Neal, 94, of the Atlantic Shores Retirement Community, died, Saturday, October 14, 2017.

He was born in Fairfield, North Carolina on November 7, 1922 to Carlos and Wilhelmina Mann O'Neal. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Norfolk and the Men's Bible Class.

He was preceded in death by his wife Jean Stanford O'Neal, a brother, Rufus O'Neal and a sister Martha O. Banner.

Most of his adult life was spent in the Norfolk and Virginia Beach area. He retired from the Norfolk Naval Supply Center after thirty-eight years of government service.

Surviving include one niece Katherine Adkin and husband Glenn, two nephews, Lynn Banner and wife Mary Sue; Ruffin Banner and wife, Tina all of Greensboro.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 4, 2017 in Fairfield Cemetery. Steve Bryan will officiate.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to a charity of choice.
Arrangements are by Bryan Funeral Service, Swan Quarter.
