Elwood L. Williams
September 10, 1962 – January 29, 2018

Elwood Lawrence Williams, 55, of the Ponzer Community, died, Monday, January 29, 2018 at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville.

Born in Beaufort County, September 10, 1962, he was the son of the late Mayhew Clafton Williams, Sr. and Muriel Louise "Nancy" Newman who survives.

He was a commercial fisherman, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his little nieces and nephews. He loved music and his animals.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the family plot in St. John's Episcopal Church Cemetery, Scranton.

In addition to his mother surviving is a son, John Williams and wife Lauren of Washington ; two sisters, Laura Perry of Jamesville, "Bit" Cahoon of Swan Quarter and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Mayhew  Clafton  "Buddy" Williams, Jr.

The family will gather with friends at Bryan Funeral Service, Swan Quarter, Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
