Eunice J. Brickhouse
October 9, 1934 – March 12, 2017

Eunice Jones Brickhouse, 82, of Soundside Road, Columbia, died, Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital, Washington.

Born in Tyrrell County, October 9, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Walter Alonzo and Maybel Cohoon Jones. She was married to Joseph Thomas Brickhouse who preceded her in death.

She was an active member of Soundside Free Will Baptist Church and the Tyrrell County Senior Citizen Center. She was a great woman that loved her God, her family and mowing her yard.

Most of her working career was spent in the health care industry, with the Columbia Hospital, Britthaven Nursing Home, Interim Health Care and the Tyrrell County Public Schools.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Soundside Free Will Baptist Church. Rev. Royce Reynolds and Rev. Joe Wynns will officiate. Burial will follow in the family plot in the church cemetery.

Surviving is a son, Ned Thomas Brickhouse and wife Tracey of Columbia; three daughters, Sheila Elaine B. Reynolds and husband Eddie, Peach Marie Brickhouse Armstrong and Monica Lynn B. Liverman all of Columbia; two brothers, Morris Jones of Creswell, Lawrence Jones of Columbia; three sisters, Lucy J. Bateman of Columbia, Priscilla J. Mayo of Washington and Judy J. Cohoon of Columbia; twelve grandchildren and nineteen and one-half great grandchildren.

The family will gather with friends, Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bryan Funeral Service, Columbia.
