Floyd Maylon Woodley

"Chief" Floyd Maylon Woodley, 79, of Plymouth, died, Sunday, November 11, 2018, at his son's residence surrounded by his family.

Born in Creswell, Washington County, May 27, 1939, he was the son of the late Joe Thomas and Marie Phelps Woodley. He was married to the former Carol Ann Armstrong who survives.

He was a member of the Plymouth Church of Christ. He proudly served his country with the United States Airforce during the Korean Conflict. His professional career was dedicated to law enforcement, beginning in 1966, in 1972 he became the chief of the Plymouth Police Department where he proudly served until his retirement in 1994.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 17, 2018, at the Plymouth Church of Christ. Bob Moulden and Bill Lucas will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons; Tim Woodley of Roper and Charles Woodley and wife, Shelley of Richmond, VA; four grandchildren, Ian Woodley, Josh Woodley, Matthew Woodley and Blake Woodley; two brothers; J.T. Woodley and Steven Woodley and wife, Shaun of Pea Ridge, and a sister, Glenda Barnes of Creswell.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Della Woodley.
