FRANCES B. EMMONS
July 29, 1960 – May 23, 2017

Frances Ann Belangia Emmons, 56, of 530 Bay Post Office Road, Columbia, died on Tuesday evening, May 23, 2017, at Ridgewood Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Washington.

Born in Tyrrell County, July 29, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Oliver Lee "Red" and Shirley Mae Belangia. She was married to Bruce Allen Emmons who survives. She attended Soundside Missionary Baptist Church and was a loving mother and wife, who enjoyed living every day.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Soundside Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Joseph Wynns will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Nathan Belangia Emmons of the home; a brother, Anthony Turner and wife, Judy of Sanford, NC; a sister, Sarah Belangia Arena of Eure, NC.; and her step-father, David Patrick of Columbia.

The family suggests that memorials be directed to Tyrrell Volunteer Fire Department, P. O. Box 45, Columbia NC 27925.

The family will visit with friends on Friday evening between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. at Bryan Funeral Service, Columbia Chapel.
