Gary N. Brickhouse
December 4, 1953 – May 19, 2016

Gary Nolan Brickhouse, 62, of 808 Road Street, Columbia died Thursday May 19, 2016 at his residence.

Born in Tyrrell County, December 4, 1953, he was the son of the late Lawrence Brickhouse and Daisy B. Whitehurst who survives.

He was founder and operator of Gary's Auto for over 40 years, he enjoyed playing the guitar, working in his garden, cooking and was very proud of his children.

In addition to his mother surviving are three sons, Curtis Nolan Brickhouse of Columbia, Corbin Neal Brickhouse and Ernest Coleary Brickhouse of Columbia; two daughters, Kagan Stuart Brickhouse of Columbia and Helen Stacey Brickhouse of Chocowinity; one grandchild, Brennan Marner; a brother, Brian Whitehurst and wife Heidi of Rochester, MN; three sisters, Myra Fagan and husband Howard, Lois Reagan and husband Al and Lisa Whitehurst all of Lexington.

The family will gather with friends Saturday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Bryan Funeral Service, Columbia.

No services are planned at this time.
