Jacqueline Smith
August 26, 1943 – November 15, 2023

Jacqueline Smith, 80, of Columbia passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville.

Jacqueline Smith was born in the East Lake area of Dare County on August 26, 1943, to the late Curtis Carven and Rosa Bell Scott Smith.

Jacqueline worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a Biometric Identifier until her retirement.  She liked the beach and loved to go riding and eat out.  She will be missed by her family and friends.

The family will visit with friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday November 18, 2023, at the Bryan Funeral Service Chapel.  A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverand Allison Lancaster officiating.  Interment will follow at the Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Alligator, NC.

She is survived by two sisters, Bernice Lillian Spencer of Chesapeake, VA, and Sybil Knotts of Columbia, and several nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene Burrel Smith, and Curtis Cohen Smith.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church c/o Mrs. Kim Owens 327 Jerry Post Office Rd., Columbia, NC  27925.
