James H. Cartwright
October 29, 1941 – April 22, 2016

James Harold Cartwright, 74, of 516 Lazy Lane, Engelhard, died Friday, April 22, 2016 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.

Born in Tyrrell County, October 29, 1941, he was the son of the late Emily Pearl Cartwright. He was married to the former Alice Sharon Owens who survives.

James was a Volunteer Fire Fighter and worked for the International Paper Company until his retirement. He proudly served his country with the United States Army.

No services are scheduled at this time.

In addition to his wife surviving are two brothers, Daniel Cartwright of the Kilkenney Community and Rodger Midgette of Virginia.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Lung and Heart Association or a charity of one's choice.
