JANET E. ENNIS
June 28, 1941 – January 15, 2018

Janet Eileen Sylvester Ennis, 76, of 146 Hunter Road, The Gum Neck Community, died Monday, January 15, 2018, at Roanoke Landing Nursing and Rehabilitation in Plymouth.

Born in Clayton, Deleware, June 28, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Carroll Sylvester and Helen Meredith Sylvester.  She was married to Francis Carl Ennis who preceded her in death.

After moving to the area, she worked at the after school program with Manteo Elementary School where she displayed her passion for children and also was a partner with her late husband in their family business.  She was a loving mother and was loved by many….."to know her was to love her".  Her smile could light up your day and she has now joined with loved ones and sharing her special beauty with God.

Per her request, no formal services are planned at this time

Surviving are two sons, Donald E. Ennis of Smyrna, DE and David A. Ennis of Columbia; a daughter, Carol E. Maryott and husband, Randy of Rancho Mirage, CA; two sisters, Ruth Ann Whalen of Smyrna DE and Charlotte Fox of Hartly DE; grandchildren, Deanna Long, Dylan Ennis, Donald Ennis and Justin Ennis.
