Richard "Rick" Piatt
November 22, 1941 – May 8, 2020

Richard "Rick" Piatt, 78, of Plymouth of died, Friday, May 8, 2020, at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville.

Rick was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 22, 1941, to the late Richard and Myrtle Ruth Taylor Piatt. He was married to the former Stella G. Chapman who survives.

Rick proudly served his country during the Vietnam War as a Staff Sergeant with the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post 164, Plymouth.

He worked for the North Carolina Department of Transportation as a Bridge Operator Supervisor at the Alligator River Bridge.

Per his request, no services are scheduled at this time.

In addition to his wife surviving is a daughter, Shane Ann Mullins of Dumfries, VA; a stepson, Paul V. Sealock of Plymouth; two stepdaughters Dawn and Vicky both of Winchester, VA; nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
