Robert Allen Lipscomb
September 18, 1946 – June 3, 2023

Robert Allen Lipscomb, 76, of Plymouth, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville.

Robert Allen Lipscomb was born in West Virginia on September 18, 1946, to the late Charles Lipscomb Jr. and Beatrice Jeffries Lipscomb.  He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Debbie Swanson Lipscomb.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Brian Lipscomb and wife Amanda of Clayton, NC and his daughter Robyn Barbour and husband Chris of Shallotte, NC; four grandchildren:  Dylan Lipscomb, Drake Lipscomb, Iva Barbour, and Cullen Barbour; and a sister, Charlotte Howell of Yadkinville, NC.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Remona Fagan.

He worked in telecommunications for 43 years before retiring from CenturyLink.  He also proudly served in the Army National Guard.

He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed fishing and gardening.  He was an avid golfer and enjoyed his time playing with his old hacking buddies. Mostly, he loved playing ball, and snuggling with his grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2023, in the life family center at Plymouth Church of Christ.
