Sidney Lee Litchfield, 60, of Columbia died, Saturday, July 29, 2017 at his residence, surrounded by his family.

Born in Tyrrell County, August 19, 1956, he was the son of the late Clyde Fentress Litchfield and Nancy Elizabeth Simmons. He was a member of Malachi Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.

Sidney was a talented drag line operator, who enjoyed hunting and spending time with his many friends. He worked for many years with Double Dee Farms Inc. in Columbia.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the Bryan Funeral Service Chapel, Columbia. Steve Bryan will officiate. Burial will follow in Azalea Memorial Gardens.

Surviving is a sister Carla L. Sawyer and a niece Chrystal Sawyer both of Columbia and his step mother, Mrs. Genevieve Litchfield also of Columbia.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Arrangements are by Bryan Funeral Service, Columbia.
