William B. Tansey, III
May 28, 1956 – July 21, 2016

William Blaine Tansey, III, 60, of 7120 NC 45 North, the Ponzer Community, died Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital, Washington.

Born in Brazoria, Texas, May 28, 1956, he was the son of the late William Blaine, Jr. and Nina Grelen Tansey. He was married to the former Barbara Knight who survives.

He proudly served his country during the Vietnam conflict with the United States Navy.
He spent most of his working career as carpenter with Jack Frost Construction. He enjoyed being on the water, fishing, the art of building, life and his faithful companion "Boo".

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Mt Olive Church of Christ. Mike Caton will officiate.

In addition to his wife, surviving is a son, Tad L. Sherrin of Atlanta, GA; two daughters, Sandra Jo Sherrin of Clemson, SC; Pamela Ann Carter and husband Chris of Coco Beach, FL; two sisters, Mary Jo Morse of Lake Jackson, TX and Cindy Putz of Bryan TX; one granddaughter Mikayla A. Beach.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the church until the hour of the service.

Arrangements are by Bryan Funeral Service, Swan Quarter.
