June 1, 1950 – December 31, 2023

Eldon Alan Bell, Jr, 73, of Manteo, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023, at the Outer Banks Hospital in Nags Head.

Alan was born in Alamance County, NC on June 1, 1950, to the late Eldon (Bill) A. Sr. and Pauline (Polly) Hubbard Bell. He was married to Ellen Cammer-Bell who survives.

Alan was a music enthusiast who enjoyed attending concerts all over the country and loved to spend time with his faithful fur baby Jazz.

Alan attended Chowan College and Paul D. Camp Community College taking technical courses in drafting.  He worked as a construction estimator and as a Class I plumbing contractor.

Per his request, no services will be held at this time.

In addition to his wife surviving are a stepdaughter, Mary Speer Crews (Joe) of Durham; a granddaughter, Amaya Crews; one brother, John David Bell (Mary Evelyn) of Chesapeake, Va; a brother-in-law, Jimmie Bridgers of Conway, NC and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Stephen Bell, and a sister, Paula Bell Bridgers.
