Anita M. Patrick

Anita Moseley Patrick, 84, of Columbia, died on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Three Rivers Health and Rehabilitation Center, Windsor.
Anita was born in Nash County, NC on April 7, 1939, to the late Johnnie and Annie May Turner Moseley. She was a member of Malachi Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, the Columbia Lions Club, and the Columbia Red Hat Society, and was a graduate of Oscar F. Smith High School in Chesapeake, Va. She was an employee of the Tyrrell County Public Library
She loved to work in her garden, canning, and sharing her flowers with family and friends. She worked as a caregiver, always helping those in need. She was known for her sense of humor, her crafts, her wedding cakes, and her ability to find a good yard sale.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023, at Malachi Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. Pastor David Furlough and Pastor Donald Liverman will officiate.
The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service.
Surviving are three sons, Joie W. Spencer, Jr. (Robin) of Columbia, Johnny L. Spencer (Jill) of Columbia, and Daniel K. Spencer (Lisa) of Franklinton, NC; six grandchildren, Waylone Spencer, Josie S. VanHorne, Harley Spencer, Krystal Johnson, Tara Francis, and Brittney Francis, one great-grandchild, Branson Rhys Spencer, and a brother Garland Moseley (Jackie) of Chesapeake, Va.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Jean M. Linton, Joyce M. Shearin, and Shirley Carlson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Columbia Lions Club or the Tyrrell County Volunteer Fire Department.
