Anna Lois Kirklin Carawan, 99, formerly of Swan Quarter and most recently a resident of Three Rivers Health and Rehab Center in Windsor, died, on Monday, February 19, 2024.

Mrs. Carawan was born in Nashville, TN on March 26, 1924, to the late Isaac and Rozina Harris Kirklin. She was married to Roy Jarvis Carawan who preceded in her death.

Mrs. Carawan met her husband, Army Sergeant Roy Jarvis Carawan during WWII while he was stationed in Nashville, TN. At the time she and her sister were working at VULTEE, an airplane factory manufacturing planes for the war effort. She became a war bride when they later married. She was a faithful church and community worker and read her Bible every evening for as long as she was able. Her family...even her great-grandsons love to share great stories about her.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at the family plot in Soule Cemetery. Pastor Jerald Craddock will officiate.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
