Ashley Neal Borst
October 19, 1963 – September 28, 2022

Ashley Neal Borst, 58, of Columbia, died on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at his home after a long illness.

Ashley Borst was born in Tyrrell County on October 19, 1963. He was the son of Louise Walker Borst of Columbia and John William Borst of Callahan, FL.

Ashley spent most of his working years as a mechanic, but also spent some time as a truck driver and equipment operator in the logging industry.  In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending quality time with his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Gum Neck Church of Christ. Jon Langley will officiate.  The family will visit with friends immediately following the service.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Chase Borst and wife Jamie of Pungo; daughter, Josie Borst of Kill Devil Hills; a sister, Sheila B. Darden and her husband George of Farmville; and a niece, Aislinn D. Autry and husband Kevin of Farmville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to assist the family with final expenses to Bryan Funeral Service P.O. Box 17, Columbia, NC  27925.
