Barbara Jean (Huckabee) Jones

Barbara Jones, 67, of the Gum Neck Community, Columbia died, July 7, 2020, at Vidant Chowan Hospital, Edenton.
Barbara was born to the late Arthur D. Huckabee and Nancy Jean Liner Lee on December 3, 1952, in Durham, North Carolina. She was married to Burvell Kemp Jones, who preceded her in death.
She was a member of Gum Neck Freewill Baptist Church.
She loved spending time with family & friends and singing.
A memorial service will be held at a later time.
Surviving is a daughter, Lynn Cabacar and husband Mike of Creswell, NC; a son, John D. Russell and wife Patia of Creedmore, NC; and three grandchildren: Brandon Cabacar, Allie Cabacar, and Kyle Russell. She is also survived by a brother Pete Huckabee and wife Bonnie of Durham and a sister, Rebecca Stiver of Gum Neck.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Daniel W. Huckabee.
