Betsy R. Bennett
April 17, 1942 – October 10, 2025

Betsy Rea Bennett, 83, of Columbia, died, Friday, October 10, 2025, at Palliative Care at ECU Health.

Betsy was born in Baltimore, Maryland on April 17, 1942, to the late Richard and Mabel Snibbe Bennett.

During her early years she worked as a social worker and later she dedicated her life to serving God, simplicity and acts of charity.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Soundside Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Charles Gill will officiate.

The family will gather with friends immediately following the service.

Surviving is her sister in Christ, Madge Morris of Columbia, a brother, Richard H. “Dick” Bennett (Sandy) ; one niece and a nephew.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Soundside Missionary Baptist Church Missions and Children’s programs, 422 Bridgepath Road, Columbia, NC 27925
