Betty Jo Cahoon Woodard, 77, of Columbia, died Thursday, January 8, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.


 Betty Jo was born in Tyrrell County on August 13, 1948, to the late Joseph W. and Aleen Furlough Cahoon. She was married to William Gene Woodard, who preceded her in death.


A private graveside service will be held at Azalea Memorial Gardens. Rev. Royce Reynolds will officiate.


Surviving are two sons, Scott Woodard (Jessica) of Creswell and Heath Woodard of Columbia; two grandchildren, Laney Woodard and Easton Woodard.
