Charles Ryan Garrish

Charles Ryan Garrish, 70, of Scranton, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022, at ECU Health Beaufort Hospital in Washington.

Charles was born in Beaufort County on March 3, 1952, to the late John Elbert and Wanda Smith Garrish.  He was married to Janet S. Garrish, who survives.

He spent his working years as a commercial fisherman.  Charles was known for always providing a helping hand to anyone in need.  He loved and lived for his family.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at the Epworth United Methodist Church Cemetery, officiated by Raffael Farrow, Jr.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Bradley R. Garrish and wife Janette of Lowgap, NC, his daughter Melissa G. Joyner and husband, Johnny, of Scranton, NC; grandchildren, Katie Joyner and Alexis Joyner; a brother, Carl Garrish and wife Judi, of Belhaven and a sister, Karen Garrish of Swan Quarter; three step-grandchildren, five step-greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at 711 Lowe Road, Scranton, NC 27875
