Colleen M. Carawan
January 1, 1932 – September 28, 2023

Colleen M. Carawan, 91, of Middlesex, NC, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Wellington Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Knightdale.

Colleen was born in Hyde County on January 1, 1932, to the late Hugh Cecil and Annie Selby McKinney.

Colleen loved and cared for her family as a homemaker. She enjoyed music and loved playing the piano.  Camping was also a favorite past time.

No public service will be scheduled. A private inurnment will take place at a later date.

She is survived by two daughters, Leigh Ann Carawan of Middlesex, NC and Luana Gibbs (CR) of Engelhard, and a granddaughter, Cameron G. Roberts (Jared) of Cape Carteret, NC.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan Edward Gibbs.
