Creston M. Simmons, Jr.
January 27, 1956 – October 2, 2025
Creston McClean Simmons, Jr., 69, of Columbia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at his sister's home.
Creston was born in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Creston M. Simmons, Sr. and Doris Brickhouse Simmons. He was married to Pamela Lee Ward, who preceded him in death.
He proudly served his country during the Vietnam Conflict with the United States Navy. He worked as a skilled carpenter in the residential construction industry and was an active participant in the Civil War Reenactment events.
Creston enjoyed his coffee and eating chocolate, but the one thing that he loved the most was his wife, Pam.
Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Legion Beach.
Creston is survived by two sons, Jonathan Bradford Arnold (Paulette) of Edenton and Cory Blake Arnold of Columbia; two sisters, Cynthia S. Swain (Everette) and Beth S. Swain (Jeff), both of Columbia; three grandchildren, Cameryn Arnold, JT Arnold, and Michael Arnold; two nephews, Hunter Swain (Lacie), Richard Swain (Rebekah); and two nieces Ashley S. Hux (Andy), Stacie Shands and ten grandnieces and grandnephews.
