Delores P. Berry
January 24, 1940 – August 18, 2023

Delores Pledger Berry, 83, of Engelhard, died surrounded by her loving daughters, Friday, August 18, 2023, at ECU Health Beaufort Hospital.

Mrs. Berry was born in Hyde County on January 24, 1940, to the late Ira and Hazel Gibbs Pledger. She was married to Bradley Berry who preceded her in death.

She enjoyed traveling, reading, and dancing but above all she loved to spend time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her loyal friend Buoy.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 24, 2023, at the family plot in Fulford Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at the home place.

Surviving are three daughters, Alisa Berry (Jerol), of Fairfield, Iva Anderson of Engelhard, and Brandy Reynolds (Thomas Fisher) of Washington; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and her special friend Larry Boomer.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Vernon Pledger, and Leon Pledger.
