Dexter Dewain Moore, 81, or Pinetown, North Carolina passed away Thursday, December 9th at his home.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 14th, 2021 at Yeatesville Cemetery, Pinetown.

Dexter was born on August 24th, 1940 in Beaufort County, NC.  He was a graduate of John A. Wilkinson High School in Belhaven.  Dexter enjoyed a long career as a merchant seaman as captain of an off-shore tug boat; in his youth, he served in the US Navy.  Dexter was a member of Wilkinson Church of Christ.  He was an avid golfer and long-time member of Bay View Golf Club.

Dexter is preceded in death by his wife Rebecca Gail (Woolard) Moore and son C.J. Moore.

Dexter is survived by his son Michael Romanek of London, England; daughter-in-law Lynne Romanek and grandchildren Kai and Anders Romanek.
