Eddie Garland Reynolds

Eddie Garland Reynolds, 73, of Columbia, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Vidant Chowan Hospital in Edenton.
Eddie Garland Reynolds was born in Tyrrell County on August 15, 1948, to the late James William and Margaret Ada Simmons Reynolds. He was married to Sheila Brickhouse Reynolds, who survives.
Eddie served in the US Coast Guard as a machinery technician. He retired as Transportation Supervisor with the Tyrrell County Schools. He was a member of the Soundside Original Free Will Baptist Church. He loved his family and loved to mow the grass.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, on Friday, March 18, 2022, at the Soundside Original Free Will Baptist Church, with Pastor Royce Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2022, from 6:00-8:00pm at the Bryan Funeral Service Chapel, Columbia.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Joseph Hank Reynolds and wife Shannon of Navarre, FL, and Sonny Ray Reynolds of Columbia; one daughter, Teresa Elaine Reynolds of Columbia; six grandchildren, Quinton James Reynolds, Brendon Michael Reynolds, Cameron Ray Reynolds, Tucker Andrew Reynolds, Sailor Mckenzi Reynolds, and Cutter Jones Reynolds; and one great-grandchild, Penelope Quinn Reynolds. He is also survived by his brothers, Bobby Reynolds of Virginia, Royce Reynolds and wife Fleedie of Columbia, Mike Reynolds and wife Donna of Walstonburg, and sister Peggy R. Sawyer of Columbia.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Chris Reynolds, Billy Reynolds, and James Reynolds, a sister Betty R. Sawyer, grandchild, Troy Ashby Reynolds, and a beloved brother-in-law, Roy Sawyer.
