Eugene J. Credle
October 15, 1932 – October 25, 2025

Eugene Jackson "Jack" Credle, 93, a resident of Autumnfield of Belhaven Assisted Living, passed away on October 25, 2025.

Jack was born to the late Eugene and Mabel Joyner Credle on October 15, 1932. He was a member of Epworth Church of Sladesville.

Jack spent most of his life working at local grocery and convenience stores. To include WA Credles, Rosebay, Gilbert Richards Store, JJ Harris, and B&R Country Store.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Epworth Church of Sladesville Church Cemetery. Pastor Ethan Coltrain and Pastor Mike Caton will officiate.

The family will gather with friends immediately following the service.

Jack is survived by his nieces and nephews, Sue Rhem, Melody Williams, Kenneth Scott (Angela), Kathy Parrish (Kent), Kevin Scott (Sharon), Lisa Sadler;  his brother in law, Duane Scott; his roommate, Grady Holland; great nieces and great nephews,  John Michael Rhem, Sarah Rhem (Alex Manolukas), MJ Williams (Trent Jones), Joseph Williams (Jennifer), Brandon Scott, Hunter Scott (Catie), Makayla Kochanek (Scotty), Michael Parrish, Meredith Parrish, Andrew Scott, Abigail Scott and numerous great-great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Kathryn Hodges, Hazel Doerter, Margaret Scott, and Faye Sadler.

The family would like to express appreciation to his roommate, Grady Holland, for his love and care, to the staff of Autumnfield of Belhaven Assisted Living, where he spent the last 30 years, and to Amedisys Hospice.

Memorial contributions can be made in Jack's honor to a charity of one's choice.
