March 2, 1939 – February 7, 2023

Frederick Dean Suter, 83, of Creswell, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at the ECU Health Chowan Hospital in Edenton.

Fred was born in Crawford County, Ohio on March 2, 1939, to the late Clifford and Joesphine Osbun Suter. Fred was a farmer all his life; his love of the land was exceeded only by his love for the Lord and his family. In addition to farming, Fred was engaged in cotton and grain merchandising and he was a dealer for grain handling equipment. He was also a faithful member of Plymouth Church of Christ. His love of the LORD prompted him to go on several mission trips, sharing the gospel message with people in Haiti, Ecuador, Colombia, and India. Fred loved his family, and strived to impress upon them the importance of faith, love, and perseverance in the face of adversity. He is remembered for his sense of humor, his wisdom, and the willingness to help others in need.
