GAVIN M. DAVENPORT
September 10, 1987 - June 8, 2019

Gavin McCoy Davenport, 31, of 3135 Soundside Road, died Saturday, June 8, 2019, at his residence.

Born in Chowan County, September 10, 1987, he was the son of Stewart McCoy Davenport and Dale M. and Denise Cooper Davenport who survive.  He was married to the former Elizabeth Cooper who survives.

He was employed as a construction worker and truck driver and was a graduate of Lawrence Academy at Merry Hill.

Gavin enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting, playing the drums, hanging out with friends and family, boating, grilling and the outdoors.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a brother, D. Stewart Randolph Davenport, with the U. S. Army in Fayetteville, NC; His paternal grandparents, Stewart Randolph Davenport and wife, Lucia B. of Creswell; his maternal grandmother, Virginia Hathaway of Columbia and maternal grandfather, Ronnie Cooper of Columbia.
