Gayle C. Walston             
March 30, 1950 – June 16, 2022

Gayle C. Walston, 72, of Chesapeake, VA, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at the home of her daughter in Fairfield, NC.

Gayle C. Walston was born in Nolan, West Virginia on March 30, 1950, to the late Tommy and Alice Smith Castle.

Her working years were spent in maintenance in the construction field.  She loved her children and grandchildren deeply and was proud of her family.  Gayle was a survivor.  Her favorite activities included sitting on the porch, hanging out with her beloved dog Willow, dressing up, and going out to eat. 

No services will be held.

She is survived by her son, Terry Fant, Jr. of Virginia, her daughter, Angela. F. Swilley and husband Michael of Fairfield, six grandchildren:  Ciara Swilley, Rainee Swilley, Daimien Swilley, Kyle Fant, Rykker Swilley, and Genessy Swilley; and three sisters, Linda, Diane, and Trisha.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Castle, and two sisters, Barbara and Emma Jean, and a great grandson, Waylon Swilley.
