Gerald Allen Shepard
June 1, 1954 – February 2, 2022
Gerald Allen Shepard, 67, of Plymouth, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at The Carrolton of Williamston.
Gerald Shepard was born on June 1, 1954, in Martin County, to the late Pearlie Bray and Hazel Oakley Shepard.
During his working years, Gerald was a sales representative for Applied Industrial Technologies. He held master’s degrees in Divinity and Theology and earned his Doctor of Ministry degree in 2006 from the Christian Life School of Theology. Gerald loved the Lord. He was a gifted Bible scholar and teacher. Additional favorite past times were researching military history, creating battleship and starship models, and reading science fiction novels.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at the Plymouth Church of God with Pastor Jeff Person officiating. The family will visit with friends following the service.
He is survived by his wife, Joy Locke Shepard, a son, Brian Shepard, and wife Shannon of Siler City, North Carolina, a daughter, Beth Shepard, of Baltimore, Maryland, and seven grandchildren. Additional survivors are his uncle and aunt, Donnie and Betty Jean Peele, and first cousins Jason Peele, Todd Peele, and Jenny Shepard.
