Glenn Walker Woodley
November 22, 1936 – June 8, 2026

Glenn Walker Woodley, 89, formerly of Plymouth, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Tyrrell House Assisted Living in Columbia.

Glenn Woodley was born in Tyrrell County, on November 22, 1936, to the late J Eli and Augusta Walker Woodley. 

He honorably served his country in the United States Army.

Glenn was an avid genealogist. He spent several years working in the National Archives researching his family and on behalf of others. His personal library is a great reflection of that. 

A memorial service will be held at Tyrrell House in Columbia, NC at 3 pm, Sunday, June 14, 2026.

He is survived by longtime friends and caregivers, Rita and Mike Asby as well as Lisa Asby and Ellen Swain. He is also survived by his favorite cousin Carole Haywood of Mississippi, a niece Sharon B. Loving (Chuck) of Mechanicsville, VA; and his great niece Callie Loving of China.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Ballance and her husband Leon that he loved like a brother.
