Guadalupe Castillo Ruiz

Guadalupe Castillo Ruiz, 82, of Plymouth, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Plymouth.

Guadalupe was born in Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico, on July 4, 1943, to the late Julian Castillo and Francisca Muñoz.  She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-eight years, Juan Ruiz Gomez.

Mrs. Guadalupe was a flower lover who enjoyed cooking, posadas, Christmas decorations, and caring for her cats and chickens.

A mass of resurrection will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Plymouth.

A wake will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026, starting at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.

Surviving are four sons, Leonardo Ruiz Castillo (Adriana) of Florence, SC, Raul Ruiz Castillo of Florida, Emilio Ruiz Castillo (Wendy) of Plymouth, Martin Ruiz Castillo of Tamaulipas, Mexico; three daughters, Silvia Ruiz Castillo of Plymouth, Francisca Ruiz Castillo of Plymouth and Yazmin Ruiz Castillo (Francisco) of Jamesville; seventeen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

Arrangements are by Bryan Funeral Service at Hampton Academy, Plymouth.

Guadalupe Castillo Ruiz, de 82 años, de Plymouth, falleció al lado de sus seres queridos el jueves 5 de marzo de 2026 en el Washington Regional Medical Center en Plymouth.

Guadalupe nació en Tampico, Tamaulipas, México, el 4 de julio de 1943, hija de los difuntos Julian Castillo y Francisca Muñoz y estaba casada con Juan Ruiz Gómez por cincuenta y ocho años quien la precedió en la muerte.

La Sra. Guadalupe era amante de las flores; disfrutaba cocinar, celebrar las posadas, las decoraciones navideñas y cuidar de sus gatos y gallinas.

Una misa de resurrección se celebrará a las 11:00 a.m. el martes 10 de marzo de 2026 en la Iglesia Católica St. Joan of Arc, en Plymouth.

Se llevará a cabo un velorio el lunes 9 de marzo de 2026, comenzando a las 2:00 p.m., en la Iglesia Católica St. Joan of Arc.

Le sobreviven cuatro hijos: Leonardo Ruiz Castillo (Adriana), de Florence, SC; Raúl Ruiz Castillo, de Florida; Emilio Ruiz Castillo (Wendy), de Plymouth; Martín Ruiz Castillo, de Tamaulipas, México; tres hijas: Silvia Ruiz Castillo, de Plymouth; Francisca Ruiz Castillo, de Plymouth; y Yazmín Ruiz Castillo (Francisco), de Jamesville; diecisiete nietos y diecinueve bisnietos.
