Jerry Oren Hardison, 66, of Engelhard, died, Tuesday, September 11, 2018.

He was born in Beaufort County, October 28, 1951. He was the son of the late Beverly Oren and Leona Cahoon Hardison.

He worked as a building inspector for the County of Hyde. He loved his job, fishing, meeting and helping people.

A gathering with friends will be held Sunday, October 28, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at his residence on 12366 North Lake Road, Engelhard.

Surviving is a son Michael Hardison; a sister, Janice W. Wyant; two grandchildren; two nephews and one niece.
