Joseph "Wayne" Wynn

Joseph "Wayne" Wynn....born November 8th..1942 in Plymouth, NC passed away unexpectedly January 10th, 2025 at ECU Health in Greenville, NC. 

Wayne as he was always know to many friends and family was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 45 years. Wayne attended Wilson Technical College in Wilson, NC after high school. After his college years...he went on to go to work at Weyerhaeuser Paper Company in Plymouth, NC. Wayne went on to work at the Paper Mill for over 36 years in the production and recycled fiber department. He absolutely loved his family and friends while traveling to see them with his wife Gloria D. Wynn for over 52 years. Wayne always enjoyed spending time with his son Nevin...taking a ride for an ice cream cup and absolutely enjoyed keeping his lawn in pristine condition.

Wayne is survived by his son Nevin Wynn from Knightdale, NC, grandson Nicholas, brother Elwood Wynn, and sister Phyllis Waters both of Plymouth, NC. Also survived by brothers-in-laws Nyle Davenport and wife Joan from Sarasota, Florida and Milt Davenport and wife Mary from Bristow Vriginia as well as nieces and nephews.

A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Plymouth Church of Christ, with Jay Hardison officiating.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
